I was thinking today that if/when the ScrapWeiler comes out, what possible competition will it face from other production blades ?
From the Yard there is the YardGuard, from the Swamp is the ChopWeiler, from Busse is the Hell Razor.
The only other company blades I can think of are the Cold Steel Recon Scout and maybe the Ka-Bar Camp knife !!!
Anyone think of any more, the Becker BK7 would have been one but they are no longer made ( yet ! ) ?

You forgot the Ranger RD7 and Ontario RAT-7. I would love a Scrapweiler.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I never saw the point in larger knives that I couldn't carry when hiking but then I realised that I use my MOD4 ( 7"ish blade ) more than any of my other knives as I keep it by my wood stove for splitting kindling and making fuzz sticks !
And this year I'm planning on getting more camping in as well so a knife like a ScrapWeiler would be perfect !!!

I just hope that when it comes it's within my budget !!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Pit, you need to change your name to Scrapweiler.

Pit - Maisy sure looks cozy there, but you're right. A Scrapweiler WOULD make the picture complete! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

pit,
kabar short heavy bowie
becker tac tool, i like it for camp chores
this may sound stupid but the cold steel perfect thrower in 1050 is super tough 13 inches and a decent edge
i real competitor would be the hi pen knife but i don't own one

a like the A1 brkt teddy but those are six inch blades

the scrapweiler will be king, i can't wait

The Hell Razor is a decent 7" utility blade, but it's not on my list of choppers. It's one reason I've stayed dubious about 6" - 7" blades for chopping duties. If I owned a chopweiler my opinion might change. But you can't own them all, and I never got a camp tramp or a chopweiler.
