bld522, short answer is new thread, however, it isn't unusual for dogs to run in packs and take care of each other. I totally missed this announcement, but you took care of me and the other dogs that missed. Thats why the yard is such a great place. Finding out this way was fun too!!

bld522, I don't read every thread either, far from it. Patti gave us two heads up announcements so I'm sure Dan will still give us his normal separate post 48 hour and 24 hour notices.

I agree with ColdOne that Dan has, and will likely continue, to post a new thead before each release. At one time, I thought that the typical notice was about one week (7 days, not half of a non-specific Busse "two weeks"), but I recall that the last was more like a couple days in advance.

I normally check the forum several times a day, but I sometimes skip getting on the computer at all, so I can also understand bld522's concern. However, while I might prefer a week to mull things over, in the end I'm likely to trust Dan's judgment. That's not to say that there's anything wrong with posting a thread that points out where Dan has dropped a breadcrumb -- I appreciated that because I wasn't following the thread in question closely -- but I am disinclined to cast a vote suggesting how or when Dan should announce products.

I TOTALLY agree with Chris on this! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I was happy to point out Dan's post on BrotherBrandonB's thread, but I consider it as a bonus posting. Dan has always been good about posting OFFICIAL notices about upcoming releases. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
