The over-all blade shape is OK, but I think it is a little tall (????)
I do like the shallow slow curve of the edge and consider that to be the most important part of a knife.
The Full height grind on this design is good. And I know the general handle shape is good. But, needs some tweaks IMO.

*** This is another knife where I wish Jerry would get the Talon Holes off an otherwise potentially good knife. The over-sized guard and over-sized choil are a detriment to these smaller to mid-sized knives IMO.

Also, I would prefer a tighter radius in the grip area at the index finger.

What I don't know about this knife is the blade length.

This is just a quick photochop, but I think this would be an improvement:

...... Aside from that, the "Yard" Muk would be an entirely different knife with Res-C. - And I am not willing to pay $300 - $500 for it.

.

I'm sorry bro but I think you have ruined the effect here !

I don't what effect in particular you feel was ruined. But, I am fine with different opinions.

I like the slimmer blade, but if you feel it should remain "taller", I could easily except that and I could and would still see some advantages to a taller blade as well.

BUT, you won't ever convince me the Talon hole and over-size choil have any worthwhile advantages. The are EASILY detriments to the knife's design IMO.

For the fun of it, (assuming you just like a taller blade, here is what I came up with for a taller blade version. Still keep the Fixes and "Improvements" at the choil and guard and I prefer a shallower less rounded edge curve:

I could and would buy both - if closer to $150 even possibly $175. $200 starts to be a stretch.

- But, Sorry Mag and EMF, I don't think they are worth $300 - $400. My opinion. I am not interested in over-priced luxury knives. I am interested in quality knife designs with attention to relevant details, quality steel and quality workmanship at reasonable prices.
I KNOW of makers who make VERY high quality knives, great designs and at reasonable prices. I would prefer Busse and kin stay in reasonable price ranges. If they can't or won't keep prices reasonable, then Yes, I will be sorry as I will NOT be purchasing and have to look elsewhere for alternatives.
Jerry probably won't care as long as he keeps selling.

But, more power to Jerry if he can keep selling his knives at rediculously high prices.

If I have to start looking elsewhere due to prices getting too high, then sadly, I will.

I would "Rather" not have to. - So, I "Hope" for what "I" consider reasonable prices. Obviously, value is a relative term. I am just expressing my opinion.

Here are my two versions with the Mudder grips.

I really just can't see this blade with the regular Res-C grips.

Taller blade:

Slimmer blade:

Hopefully, these would be closer to $100.00 - $115.00 and SATIN!

well, I doubt swcrapyard will ever really get out of your price range, and you can get a swamprats for very reasonable prices too, sometimes.
I honestly am not willing to pay 300-500$ for a knife, but I think busse's are worth it.

from what I've seen.
and that photochop looks awesome knifeguy, I like the taller blade.
but I do like the shorter blade you did also.
I def like the guard improvmwents too.

yes, their are other great makers out their who make very HIGH quality knives and such.the difference is busse invented their very own steel that is in a lot of peoples minds the best all around cutlery steel ever created.add to that GREAT designs and craftsmanship and with an unbeatable warranty and i imo i think busse charges a very fair price and to top it off they have two subsidiaries with more affordable products.

their are much more expensive knives out their that i dont think are nearly as good.

even though they are expensive for MY budget,i dont think for one second they are ridiculously expensive.just because i cant afford them the as easily as i'd like to doeasnt mean the prices are ridiculously high.

best bang for the high buck imo......again,imo.

Thanks. I wish I could get a lot more support in regards to this part of many of the knife designs.
I think there is a much better chance of making these types of improvements if others help in being more active in requesting improvements from time to time.

I think many just feel we should just get what we get.

The guards and choils are some of my biggest issues with a lot of Busse and kin knife designs - especially on smaller to mid-sized knives.

I don't mind large guards and over-sized choils on big 10" choppers. The DF and DFLE is fine.

But pretty much any knife 8" or less, I prefer smaller guards and small choils.

If the choil is a usable finger choil, fine, make a small guard and a reasonable reach from the regular grip to the finger choil and keep the blade in as close as reasonably possible for use in the regular grip.

If the choil is not a finger choil and just for sharpening, then I REALLY like a small guard and small choil. On smaller blades especially and knives like the Nessy style, I use the blade edge in very tight and close to the handle for peeling type work, feathering and many types of cutting tasks. There is a lot more control up in close to the handle for many types of cutting tasks.

I would REALLY like to see this area addressed.

And since it might take a group effort, I hope for more support as well.
