I never received a Confirmation from scrapyard /Patti via email...I have order number, my invoice copy ,paypal $ received by SYK but no ship charge? being my 1st time ordering from Scrapyard was wondering what happens next. thanks for any help...TTD

I didn't get conformation either, but the credit card was charged so I'm sure the order went through.

TT, this wasn't a "normal" situation. For whatever reason (probably usage oevrload) the ordering part of the website had a meltdown. Most organizations (mine included) because of the cost are set up to deal with "normal usage". The ordering part of the Scrap Yard website is currently down. I assume they are correcting the problem.

Normally you would get a "order confirmation email" and be able to check the status of your order on the website. Status usually shows "new", "Billed" or "Shipped".

Dan and Patti have always tried to make things right. I wish I could say that for everyone I've ordered something from on the internet. Give them a few days to correct the problems and lets see how things work out.

I got my order in, and I received the automated confirmation after I made payment by PayPal, so I "think" that all my ducks are in a row. However, there were problems with some orders, and as jackell stated, they were almost certainly related to the server load.

Additionally, some people were charged no shipping, while others were charged shipping (but less than expected, and to the best of my knowledge, only if they also ordered accessories like shirts, hats and sheaths); it wouldn't surprise me if the knives were configured to have no shipping cost (like the challenge coin) by mistake. Of course, that's just a guess on my part.

After Dog Fathers sold out, Patti posted that there were problems, and that she'd have to figure out what happened and send follow-up emails about shipping price adjustments (see Dog Fathers). Until then, it's just a waiting game.
