Thanks, Sharp. Now back to my original question:
Does anybody have the UZI Tac 1 (or the TOPS CQT 304, for that matter)? If so, what's your impression of it? Bruce, I had a TOPS 304 for a while, They were made by United Cutlery, BTW, at their Tennessee facility, and I was not at all impressed with it, so I got rid of it. Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing TOPS, I like a lot of TOP's stuff, I just didn't much care for that folder. I have to admit knowing it was made by United didn't help though... Wasn't very comfortable to hold for one thing, and the action was kinda rough... Who knows maybe I got a bad one.

No RW, they were all bad. There's a video on youtube of the guying showing the 304. The action was very rough. He couldn't do a normal thumb flick opening and needed to flick his wrist http://youtube.com/watch?v=g_6o2HOKC4gI personally don't like the "Gentlemen Tactical Folders" from tops. Hearing them made form United makes it even worse. Though, I'm glad the 711, 747, and Thunder Hawkes are still made by fox. Though I wish the 747 was still done with a 2x cryo 154cm. I don't really know to much about the N690 stuff. Mac, you really like that RIJBACK. I suggest you get one. I kinda like it too. The SARD you showed is weird. It might be useful but I think I'd rather go for a Surefire folder even though they are nearly 4 times the price. It's also odd on the SARD site, when you click on "eject" symbol, the specs come up and near the end it says "Total knife may be recycled." Not really sure I want to recycle, let alone throw away, a 130 dollar folder. Losing, now that's a different story.

I will be getting a RIJBACK, I just burned all my cash on a piece of ash(love these ash jokes) I'll get one soon though then I'll baton with it I like the SARD, I thought you would love it. The lock it uses is susposed to be really strong and the thing is so revolutionary. I think the person that wrote that page didnt speak english as a native language, although I have seen worse. http://engrish.com/

Here is a eickhorn(SARD?) in action. http://youtube.com/watch?v=GG3cBvNS4L4Their placement of the glass breaker is different. You use the knife like a hammer instead of smashing with your fist.

I don't really know to much about the N690 stuff. I've got one of the original USA made 747's and it's okay, but believe it or not having handled all the Fox made versions they're pretty nice. Much better than the United made folders. I don't know that much about that steel either though.

Thanks, Jeff. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Tac 1. 154CM is pretty hard to resist for under $40.00 shipped. But I'll take your word for it. I'll let you know soon Bruce. I decided to take the plunge. For $34.00 delivered from that auction place I suspect that it will be hard to complain. I just received a BM Monochrome and Ambush so I'll take some pics this weekend. The monochrome is the bargain of the two IMO. Framelock, N690 stainless, good blade shape. The Ambush is a whole lotta knife. Tis bigger than the JYD! Lovely AUS8 blade but not hair popping sharp (unlike the monochrome) as received. I can fix that.
