Hey you guys I need some help in deciding what to get as end-be-all folder <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Something that is just nice to carry and use for under 400. Production Mainly.

I've got my eyes on one of the TAD Gear CE edition of the 0300. I like the Coloring of the G-10 and the Bead Blast is IMO better than a coating or tiger stripe. Only thing I'm worried about is tip strength.

With the budget out, I could also just get a 0200 and 0100 combo and call it good <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ... but I'd rather not do that, as much as I would like to try out some 3v steel.

So, Dawgs, any suggestions.

And Mac, if you make a suggestion I'm gonna get a Dark Ops and leave the BF social group. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Large Cold Steel gunsite tanto.
Seriously, it just screams you.
For $60 it cant be beat.

Hey, what did I SAY!??!?!?! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

JK, buddy, I don't know, I don't really like the Cold steels that much though. I might as well give it a try but I would rather spend that 60 on the Windlass.

I could get a Hossom Retribution but I'm gonna be using this knife as hard as my Grip and Rukus and I would sure as heck be worried about the tip.

It is cool that it's so big, too, but for some reason I don't like Hossom's designs so much in this one.

There's something about the flow of the blade that really is killing me, I think it might be that square thumb hole coupled with the groovy flow lines and the deep clip point. It it were one of Hossom's drop point I wouldn't mind, but I tend to shy away from clip points (unless they're from Busse kin).

Just got myself a SOG Flash II. I think it would be a nice little replacement for the Grip. It does have serration though.

What do you guys think. I guess basics about the knife, opening, SAT, etc., etc.

Unfortunately I out of town, and the guy just shipped it today. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Also, I might as well score a ratweiler. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I will most likely be looking for a Ratweiler after my Chopweiler gets here.

Not often you know your totally satisfied....there is always something...but on a folder I believe I have found my favourite..

It is by a british maker, Mike Lamprey and is a titanium liner lock with a stainless damascus blend of RWL34/PMC27. Edge retention and holding is superb and the shape just has the right lines for me.....

That's really cool.

I especially like that fact that steel is RWL and the handles are Ti.

The area around the ricasso reminds of some of Darrel Ralph's work.

As for me, I don't have any high end folders.
