so heres a one day update on the Sebbie. not really liking the thumb stud, its uncomfortable. i lubed the knife up and its still really stiff on opening. the combo of the thumb stud and stiff opening just make it not to fun to open at all. kinda disappointed so far.

I think CRK will fix it for you, if there's a problem. It also might just need to be cleaned.

I've had my L/Reg Sebenza for over a year and a half. It's gotten dirty; I cleaned it; it was good as new. I'm now using Tuff Glide - that stuff rocks. It doesn't attract nearly as much dirt to the pivot as my oil did.

I really like the fact that the pivot screw is suppose to be tight against the shoulder of the screw and not held somewhere on the screw threads held with loctite/thread locker. I have a Strider that uses the loctite method - I'm not nearly as impressed with it.

Tone..what do you plan to use it for? The only knife I have in s30v is a gene ingram...but it gets absolute priority on game cleaning.

just for EDC when im not working. i got a griptillian i beat when im working. i love s30v on pocket knives. keeps a good edge, sharpens easily, and doesnt rust as easy as high carbon blades.

ok heres a 2 day report. today i completely stripped down the Sebbie for a nice cleaning. i love how simple this knife is, very few parts.

after i took it apart i used some cotton swabs to clean it. then i lubed it up and put it back together. pretty simple.

i am enjoying the Sebbie way more than i first was. opening is a lot smoother, not as smooth as some of my other folders though, i cant seem to flick it open, maybe thats how Sebbies just are? disengaging the frame lock is way easier too.

my Umnumzaan came in today! ok i am really impressed with this one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> super smooth opening, the frame lock disengages very nicely! this is how i was expecting the Sebbie to be but was disappointed, although it did get better after time. the ergo's on the Umnum are really nice and fit the hand very comfortably! i will post some pics up soon.

i have a few other sweet folders on the way. since i have tried out the small Regular Sebenza already, i decided to try out a small Classic Sebenza with micarta inlays and a small Classic plain Sebenza. i will post some reviews and pics when they come in.

and the best for last... i got a small Crawford Ti Shark on its way!!! special thanks to Skunk! im really excited to hold this one. will also post some pics when this one arrives.

ok so heres a little review on the Umnumzaan. ive been carrying it for only a couple days now. first thing that i want to mention about it... the thumb stud is super comfy, way more than the Sebbie. the ergo's on the handle are great, fits the hand very nice. the engraving or etching in the Ti scales are actually very grippy. for me the Umnum is a little on the big side, i prefer the size of the small Sebbie. its a little heavier in the pocket too. i love the blade shape, perfect for edc. if the Sebbie wasnt for you, i would say if you have the chance, give the Umnumzaan a try.
