Well, I found a presidio on BF at a good price i think. It didn't dawn on me til after I paypaled that i was looking for the mini version more and this is the full sized one...oops! We'll see how it is..nice looking blade- I was leaning more towards the barrage, but figured the price was right!

It carries fairly low, so it's not so noticeable. I'm surprised more people don't have them. With the right timing you can slide the axis lock down, flick, release, and catch the blade in the open position.

I've never had an axis lock before- so it's a release to open the blade as well?
You have the full size one? Still easy to carry?

RN, you will love the axis lock. I was playing with a model that my wife bought me 10 years ago, still tough as the day I got it except it has a few earned scars and smoothed scales. Oh yeah, it is a Elishewitz 735.

Sweet looking collection of knives Vance.
That fallkniven tk3 looks like a sweet knife.

thanks BC the tk3 is awesome
the sebenzas are very nice in their own right...but the fit & finish on the fallkniven is great...
the sebenzas are very high quality...but the materials used in the tk3...make it more "traditional"

RN: You do NOT need to "release" the axis lock to open the blade. just thumb it open like you would any liner lock etc. I think you will be amazed at how smooth it is and the way it is built it will keep itself tight as the lock wears. Don't worry, you will see what I mean once you get it.

Got my Combat Karambit, and I LIKE IT! I shouldn't have wasted the money but Patty said to consider it an Anniversayy (back in Dec), Christmas AND Birthday present. I can handle that!

Oh and it's NICE. Glad I didn't get the bigger one. This one fits in the pocket rather well actually. Don't think I would have liked the one that was an inch longer in the handle. IF you measure the blade from the center (draw a line from the point to the center of the pivot pin) to the begining of the handle scales it measures out as 2 3/4 inches for me.

Bill, thank you so much for your earlier offer and the directions to where I could get one. I thought I would have to pass for quite a while on it, but I actually (somehow) made an extra 100 last month and with Patty being sick we haven't got "out and about" as much as we were so it just all added up more than I had thought. Plus I checked out the manufacturers website and on a lark went to their prestige dealer list and found it at Davesknifeworld. I ordered it on the 16th, it went out on the 17th and I got it on the 20th. Pretty fast from Ohio. Couldn't believe I got for the price (189.00) which is kinda pricy I guess, but it sure beats 214 and UP!
The Karambit has been a grail knife for me for many years. The itch got even worse when Patty bought me a CRKT ringer about 3 years ago.
