I have an email in canceling my order, and it doesn't have much to do with the outburst from last night.
I put up with paying before the final product was shown. I put up with the initial delay, the delay from the goodies not being ready. I got my tracking number but nothing happened. I wasn't worried about the blade problem it would be fixed and by me. But when I found out my knife was going back to Italy to be fixed that was the last straw. I still don't understand what their shipping process was, I ordered quick and paid quick but my knife wasn't an early shipper. I am sure it is a great blade but I have a gotten a sour taste from the whole thing.

I really like the design of the HEST folder. I will wait. I don't have a dog in that forum fight. yeah, me neither. I'm still interested in the fixed blade Hest. I decided to play it safe on the HEST/F, I was more interested in the production version anyway. I'd still kinda like to have one, but I can wait for now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

On a lighter note I'm thinking pretty serious about that knife Tonester reviewed.

I have no idea what happened on the HEST folder. I was interested in a production model. Some enlightenment would be great.

I have no idea what happened on the HEST folder. I was interested in a production model. Some enlightenment would be great. I think they are all being inspected and tuned. That's the last I heard from Gianni at Lion Steel on the DPx forum. Some early models had a problem with the blade not seating fully when closed. Hopefully my dealer will let me know more soon, as the DPx forum was shut down. I like the design and Lion Steel makes some beautiful folders.

Pretty neat JJ. Looks like it will prove to be a good strong and sturdy knife. Enjoy it!

I know the HEST Folder has already been shown here and there are many like it, but this one is mine ... and I like it despite its infamous status and designer.
I agree. It is a beautiful knife. RYP may be what he is, but the knife is well designed and well made. That's what it is about, right? Congrats.

I really like the design of the HEST folder. I will wait. I don't have a dog in that forum fight. Sort of glad I missed the whole thing and don't know anything about it. I have the fixed blade HEST. No interest in the folder. Not sure what my next folder will be, perhaps the G10 Police model spyderco

I always liked the design of the knife, and from what I have read about Lion Steel it should be of good quality. For myself after seeing what RYP did over on bf and reading about some other questionable exploits I just didn't want to give him any of my $. I will miss the knife though it looks like a good one. Hopefully the ESEE folder will get going soon. Anybody think Dan would ever build one.
