Oh mama, the mailman was good to me today!

[Linked Image from i432.photobucket.com]

The para 2 and kershaw rake! Great ergos, nice size on the both! Can't say I understand what a compression lock is...looks like a liner lock that has been relocated to me- but what do I know!? Folks rave about it though. Gotta say, Vic turned me on to the kershaws by talking about the flippers awhile back- thank Vic! The rake does open nice!

Gotta see how they carry in jeans, but I'm lovin them so far! 2 nice blades! The Rake is a blem too, so $65 for a lot of knife..composite blade, pretty great!!

Bummer to hear about the RYP Folder!

Nice blades...I really like that Kershaw and for $65 it looks like a steal.

The HEST folder is junk. Get a Buck or anything else. Over priced, over hyped, crude junk. It might look good in pictures, but almost any other folder I own is a much better knife.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I am glad I got out of my HEST LE after it went back to Italy for fixing, and passed on my HEST preorder. Just got a bad feeling.

Well my folder quest continues.

Interesting review on the Hest folder. It seems a bit strange to me because I thought Lion Steel has a pretty good reputation. Oh well, I guess.

Save your money. I can think of a dozen folders that cost way less that are way better. This is the hardest to open folder I have ever seen.

I was really off the meds last night and ticked off. So I edited this. Of course it was silly to call all Lion Steel knives junk just because mine is rough.

I will NEVER buy anything made by those clods again. Pure crap. Junk. It's all advertising and bullsh... This is the crudest piece of junk I have ever seen. Go get a cold steel or a tayor from china. This is pure junk.

Or a Para 2 or Kershaw Rake! yahoo! I'm on the other end of the spectrum...couple of the better folders I've purhased in a long while. I am vey pleased with them.

Sometimes you get a piece of coal and sometimes you get a piece of gold! I also am VERY pleased with my last folder purchase (Emerson Folding karambit). Thing cuts like a laser and I can see it being FANTASTIC when it comes time to pick sweet corn. Just grab the ear, put the blade agains the stalk and pull up or push down, ears in your hand! Blades on corn knives ARE curved you know. I'm talking about the ones that sometimes are attached to a glove or harness.

I did the same, I sold my LE and cancelled my production pre order

HD - good review on apparently a bad knife! I saw a lot of back chatter about the HEST folder on a couple of survivalist boards that I use to frequent. I could never warm up to the idea of it, but the people at the other sites were really wiped up into a frenzy over the thing.

I carry an el-cheapo Spyderco Delica-4 everyday (have one clipped in my pocket now). Its lightweight, shaving sharp, and opens with ease. This was my first VG10 blade, and I've been impressed by its edge holding ability (my wife now has a Spyderco Lady Bug VG10 and a Lady Bug SALT).

Thanks for the review on the HEST folder Vic, I was caught up in the hype and had a 1st production run ordered and paid for, Then when things went crazy with RYP I cancelled, I kind of regretted it because I thought it would still be a good knife. I'm glad I did it now. I guess I will try one of those ZT's now.
