I had two pages telling me how to open a knife. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I saw some of those replies and thought, "have these guys never seen any of HD's posts?!"

I should be getting a Hest folder someday in the next several weeks, so I'll be sure to post here and let everyone know what I think.

Most of them have not seen any of my reviews. I quit posting on the knife review forum years ago because there were so many jerks there. I posted on manufacturers forums and Wilderness & Survival Skills forum. But now, they move any review I do to the review forum.

I quit posting on Blade Forums a couple years back. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Way too inflammatory for my liking. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" />

Vic, if anyone does NOT need advice on ANY knife made it's YOU! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

I will not even bother to see what replies people are talking about, they are not my opinion. And CERTAINLY not my opinion of you! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Peace.

Some people just never learn.

I'm relatively new to the knife online community and bf has shocked me over and over. Especially a couple of the Busse sub-forum regulars that will turn any thread into an opportunity for back-handed insult. Only takes a couple people to take a thread the wrong way.

If you have to explain how to use a product that should be simple to use (and is not a new design) than something is wrong with the product, not the user.

wrx, I do agree. That is what makes the Yard such a great place, knowledge and help without all the **** to go along with it.

You mean you DON'T open a one blade folder with the thumb stud or the flipper! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Just got one of Jeff's HEST folders on loan. It is pretty much perfect. Nothing like the one I returned to DPx. It opens easily, locks up well, and even came nice and sharp.

Glad this one turned out better! I read your quick review over at BF, and I'm impressed.

Maybe I'll get one someday, but now just ain't the time.

My next door neighbor's son just returned safely from Afghanistan for 8 months. He is in a Marine reserve unit. He carried the awesome Regulator with him. I gave him a Spyderco Military for his stateside duty. He's a good kid.

XM-24 is my overall fave (less the pivot). I held one back in '08, or '09. The right amount of blade and heft for mid-duty work. Might have to pick one up after all. Pivot of my SnG Gen 4 would always loosen at inopportune times, ditched it in favor of the Umnumzaan as my primary EDC. Love the 'Zaan pivot, no worries with it through thick and thin.

Speaking of the Zaan I just picked this one up two days ago and it's my new favorite EDC.

Oh and Horn Dog, I found all the "advice" you got over at BF very entertaining. LOL ! A lot of "experts" over there.
