That Sebenza was a goof by me, I'll get over buying it when I get it.

It really is quite eye catching to me.

I am very impressed with CPM-S-35-VN's character pedigree as well.

This new Crucible Particle Metallurgy S-35-VN has a make up like this:

Carbon 1.40%
Chromium 14.00%
Vanadium 3.00%
Molybdenum 2.00%
Niobium 0.50%

In the annealed condition, CPM S35VN is much easier to
machine than CPM S90V and easier to machine than
CPM S30V. A win/Win situation for everyone makers and buyers.

The RC of CRK is a silky 58-59 so re-sharpening this knife should be a breeze. And it's strength is still over S-30V which they have fed us the the last best steel.

This whole Partical technology for steel to be heated into its finest atoms and them reformed into a solid bar of steel is just amazing is'nt it?

Peace.

Well, here are my poor folders! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Nice buy POP!

I'm still loving the para2 and got the manix 2 a week ago. W/out gloves the extra jimping all over the manix is rough- with gloves, boy , your hand just locks on. I think for carry and overall, I give the nod to the para, in the woods working, the manix (with gloves!). I tried to show the tip for Randy who was asking about it earlier. My photos stink, but the manix only thins out the last 1/2". A lot of folks want to push their hard use folders and don't think these spydercos cut it- don't know why they thinned the tip...but, you can see in the photos they both drill well- although I'm not full of confidence. But, I tend to not push folders too much. The Sak does a bunch well too...

gotta add the my sak did better on my spine wack test than my kershaw blur and rake!

PoP, that blade you ordered does look nice. I had a CR Sebenza and never was impressed with it. I may give the new ones a try later.

RN, can you post a pic of the Spydies on the other side where the pocket clip is? I like the ones that ride deep in pocket, but not sure where the clips are on the Spydies you posted.
Thanks

Here you go Sumo. The Manix rides a bit deeper...the Para 2 occupies less space and is a little easier to carry. Great knives for the price!

Thanks POP! That what she said! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Sorry, got in touch with my inner 16 yr old for a second! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks RN. Being a teacher I want mine to sit as deep in pocket as I an get it. Most of the time I carry a small little folder in the trouser pocket so I don't have to worry about it.

Me too Sumo.

I sold mine after bing disappointed. At least this time when I decide to keep it or sell it I can get gobs of money for it.
These sell resale for as much as new if you don't butcher the blade. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I sent CRK a scathing e-mail for [color:"red"]NOT [/color]
updating their web site. This blade and steel is non existent on their site. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
Sending a lot of nasty e-mails as of late. Off my Zoloft for a while and getting pissed off at all irritations lately. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Sorry to The Big Dog for an e-mail too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

But he needed to hear what I had to say to him as well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Peace.
