You did just fine, jforbush. That's a fair deal. It's a great knife, too.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

You did well. Look at it this way: the DMLE sold for $129.95. Assume the original buyer paid $14.95 shipping that brings the knife to $144.90. Assume a $14.95 shipping cost to you and the knife is up to $159.85. You paid $156.00 shipped with paypal fees......you got the knife under cost...SWEET

It is one of my favourite small knives. It actually punches above it's weight because it can hang with the S6's and the Camp Tramps. It is a far better knife than the DMCG in my humble opinion. It or the YKCG would be my recomend for a knife for a soldier.

I just read that the Gerber LMF2 which they designed for servicemen is 24 ounces that is more than a DFCG. I believe Horn Dog mentioned his DFLE was 16 onces or 1 pound. I pitty the poor guy saddled with a knife buy a well meaning relative who paid a lot of cash and got one that weighs as much as his rifle

I think that weight includes the sheath, Unsub. The LMF2 is a good knife, ugly though it may be. I have beat the heck out of mine. It is very purpose-built with a carbide shapener in the sheath and triple retention. I like the DMLE better. Much lower profile and still very capable.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
