When a few Scrappers came out last year in tan, I guessed that maybe more would be made. The one I got had a sage blade. Was this a one-time thing? I like the look. Here is my tan Scrapper 6. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO/TanS6001.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO/TanS6002.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO/TanS6003.jpg) [

I sure hope so, I missed out on the few that were released last year. I'd love to get a tan Yard Keeper.

I too would like to have some more Tan.
I sold the ones I got, for one reason or another Now I wish I'd kept just one...
I think a Tan YKCG would be great!!!

Since Scrap Yard knives are made primarily for military use, the tan makes sense. One candidate for President said we might have troops over in the middle east for 100 years. The tan would certainly blend in with the desert sand better than black. I even speculated that maybe tan was the "new" black, but since then all the knives offered in the store have had black handles and either satin or black blades. Maybe it was just a one-time military over run or something.

I prefer black but I only have 1 Scrapper 6 so I'd buy another one in any color.

They were part of a small Military Overrun that was sold at Blade West 2007 (and the remainder were sold at Knob Creek [Fall]). Here's Dan's post presenting those elusive (and thus far exclusive) Tan/Urban overruns: Picture of Blade West ScrapYard knives

I got mine from a dog who attended Blade West. I just had the impression that if they were popular, we might see more of them. They seem to be popular enough.

I got one from a super nice guy who picked it up at blade for me. Also got a tan hook. I have that same spec ops sheath, but when i got it the kydex insert was bent. I need to take it out and hit it with the heat gun and try to straighten it out some.
It was my first S6 and I love it. would take another in black or tan.

I like both the Tans and the Urban grays. Dan's comments in the Blade post sounded like there might be more if he received favorable feedback, but for whatever reason, it hasn't happened so far. If the blades have a logo, I think that the contrast is best against Black, which may be why we haven't seen other colors. While Scrap Yard hasn't released any Olive knives, that's been my favorite color in the last few Swamp Rats.
