I can't believe Magnum doesn't have a HRLM and a Ratmandu. Those two rats have been all over this forum.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

So, I have been thinking about this for a long time. Only one knife. Like everyone here, it is not an easy choice. Where I live, I cannot carry a fixed blade. So even with all its limitations, a folder is tempting. My Griptilian maybe? For what I would give up, it would mean I could legally have it on my person 24/7. I don’t own a lot of Scrap Yard knives (yet), but my YardKeeper would be a good choice once I get the sheath where I want it. Comfortable handle and versatile blade. I have a strong sense that the SS4 would be my choice if I owned one. [censored] aftermarket prices. As I don’t baton or skin large animals very often, a smaller blade would be perfect for every day use and handle most kitchen tasks.

But if I look at what I use the most frequently and would probably bother me the most to get rid of, it would be my Shun 8” chef’s knife…

I'm keeping the FBM and the girlfriend gets the scandi-ground puukko with a pretty wood handle so she can make my food hehe J/K about the food. I'm not scared of cooking. Third in party would get a SJTAC. 4th with SS4. X-Men style.

RMD!!! RMD!!! Chant with me!!!

(hey that rhymes )

Now that I think of it, it's kind of hard parting with the RMD. It is one of the best sized knife to come from SRKW. It's pretty much decent at everything. I don't know, I may to change what I said about the FBM.

But.... in a zombie fight first thing I'd reach for is my FBM, not the AK-47, not the Rat Daddy, not even a big samurai sword. (sorry to bring this off topic a bit, but I just had to )

The Euro4 apparently has a 5" blade and is 10.75" oal. So, pretty close to the RMD's 5.375" blade and 10.375" oal. But, somehow those numbers don't sound right for the Euro4. That would imply a handle length of 5.75" for the Euro vs. 5" for the RMD. Maybe ?????

That Euro4 looks like a shortened version of my Straight Handled Satin Jack, KG. I LOVE IT! What's the blade thickness . . . 3/16" or 1/4"? I can't really tell from the pic.

I wish it were mine.... but, then I would be wishing it looked more like this:

I love a lot of Busse knives, but the over-sized non-functional choils are getting to be a big thing with me. I hope they quit doing that to the knives.

I am good with a functional finger choil on a lot of knives, but this knives and many other small ones are not well served by these types of choils.

This Euro4 is supposed to have a .25" thick blade if my source for dimensions is correct.

I like the Scales on this Euro4.

Even more, I like the scales on this Satin Jack:

*** The above Satin Jack and the BAIII would likely be great candidates for only owning or keeping one. I don't mind a functional finger choil on the Satin Jack - I just wish it were in a lot closer and tighter. But, I would rather have the BAIII without the choil and more like the photo-chopped Euro4 above. - I think Jerry needs to hire me.

See more photos here: Off to the woods - from Busse @ bladeforums

Those scales on the Satin Jack are gorgeous. Yet, I doubt that it took the custom shop that much more time and effort. I think it shows what type of scales could be provided on Busse and Swamp Rat knives and I am sure they could provide them at reasonable prices. - Oh well, better luck for others.

.

JYD #39 I prefer "SATIN" blades!!!
