That was very thoughtfull Dan.
I just got my shipping noticed and I am so happy.
Now it just has to travel 2000 miles,cross a border, defeat the knifegrabbing civil servants at canada customs and make it's way by dogsled(appropriate for the DF) to Prince Albert Saskatchawan. I know it will take at least a week probably more but I will certainly check the mail everyday from now until it gets here.

Does it really come by dogsled or it that an expression?

Welcome I'm new here as well, still waiting for DF. Perhaps tomorrow. Finals tomorrow! section 2 commence next week.

Thanks Dan. My DF is due in Wednesday (private sale). I ordered a sheath from SYK. Good to know the DF will not be homeless for long! Looking forward to the next litter.

No Ted it does not really come by Dogsled. It gets pretty cold and slippery in winter but we have gotte very used to it. I don't even have a 4X4.
This is my winter ride, all the bumps from the snow and ice are hard on the body kit but it is very well designed and almost never bottoms out. Thats because it is stock honda not aftermarket so much more time and engineering was spent on it.

All wheel drive cars without ground effects and plenty of clearance are the best followed by front wheel drive cars then 4X4 trucks. A standard tranny is 100 times better for snow.

My DF was shipped out finally and I am giddy with joy. I can't wait to see what it is like in person. It will be my first big bowie.

Just a side note. I photographed just about every knife this past Sunday. When I get a chance I will have to download them. Unfortunately it will be a few weeks as this next two weeks are going to be crazy and my B-day is on the 17th.
