I doubt it is personal KG! My first thought when I read that part was simple. If you submit a drawing & Jerry uses design elements from your drawing you may have a claim against Busse for licensing. I am not a lawyer, but that was my first thought.

I have wondered about that....

I will be happy to sign over my design rights in exchange for a proto of each and we can call it even. - where do I sign?

In all seriousness, my posted designs are hopefully to offer a visual aid to what I hope to see produced. And really, I personally consider the "concepts" pictures I have posted as modified versions of "Busse" knives.

If I could purchase my concepts are reasonable prices I would be more than happy to pay for them..... so I need a discount on some of the INFI designs.

But, I submit concepts because that is what I would REALLY want made. I am not looking for Royalties. - And I hate dealing with lawyers.

I would HATE to find out my concepts are intentionally ignored for that reason. I can understand it, but that shouldn't be a reason. If Jerry likes my ideas and feels there might be a conflict all he would need to do is confer with me on it and get me to release the design or similar.

I will try to help.

This being a public forum:

I hereby publicly announce that any and all drawings, designs, modifications of existing knives, photo-shop renderings and similar "Visual" postings that I presented on any forum owned by Busse knives, Swamp Rat knives, Scrap Yard knives or Busse Knives at Bladeforums or Swamp Rat knives at Bladeforums are free to be used by anybody including Jerry Busse, Busse knives, Swamp Rat knives or Scrap Yard knives at their discression! And I full-heartedly "CONDONE" this behavior.

Now bring on:

Scrap Weiler Concept
Bog Dog II Concept (with skeletonized handle )
Rat Jack Concept (with skeletonized handle )
SS-3.5 Concept with mudders
Skelly Concept based on the AD
Rat Hunter LM - Modified concept
Baby Coot LM - modified concept
Rat Duty Concept - regular
Rat Duty Concept - Task size (small)
Scrap Yard - Dan Busse Custom with Res-C
Nessuk Concepts with mudders
Scrap Yard - Scrap Ruck

and whatever else I may have posted pics of.

Also, somebody please forward this to Jerry and Dan so we can get past this possible technicality or concern.

Could you do a pic of a Battleth (sp?) with Res-C handles? Or a smatchet, or Arkansas toothpick?

I'd get a kick out of at least seeing them done up as Scrap Yards.

I'd be all over that Scrap Ruck, even though I'd prefer at least a little bit of weight behind the handle if it is thick stock.
