With all the talk about rationing and order limits I thought it might be fun to go the other way and make a list of all the reasons we get more than 1 of the exact same thing. This is what I've come up with in the last few minutes. Add all you want

1. USER!
2. Safe Queen
3. Back-up (didn't say legit reasons hehe)
4. One to modify
5. One to give away as a gift
6. One to trade for something else you couldn't get.
7. One to keep in a separate location

I try to keep my approach simple.

1 to wail the living tar out of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
1 to keep pretty as a fine example of the knife
1 the hold on to for trades down the road

On several occasions I order a couple more on request to proxy for fellow dogs who missed the dish.

Another reason would be if they don't make them anymore, or in more advanced things, I might get an extra for parts just in case

one destroy the world with
one to scare the sheep
one to play with like a barbie doll
one for additional steel in the knife pile pics
and a spare.

3 is the most I have of anything, HK P7 PSP's. Its my favorite handgun, they don't make them anymore, and I scored them for half of their going rate. So really I justified it as an investment, and I could sell them in less than an hour at the rate I paid for them. I could get twice as much if I had a few weeks or months to find a buyer. I do have some doubles of spydercos that I like. Then I have some things that are almost exactly the same, Yard Hook/Guard, battlerat/dogfather and several things in my hiking gear. They're all things you can easily get your value back out of if you decide you want to get rid of them. Not so much the hiking gear, but I consider my second set worth of gear something I've always wanted. Gear for 2 so I can take people that don't have their own.

I did grab 6 of an awesome Mountain Hardwear shirt one time, the ZeO2 fabric, at about 70% off and kept 2, gave 2 to my dad, and 2 to my brother.

how do you feel about this then, on the next release if I like it, I have 10K set a side for my hobby, I'll buy them all.

i have doubles (sort of) of two knives.

I have two swamp wardens although technically they are different b/c one is logo'd and the other sterile.

I have two K-bars, but one is the ontario spec plus style and the other is the 2nd generation model.

10K won't come anywhere close to getting them all, and you'll have to beat us there too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
