I think he was in favor of a limit actually. Like he was really saying it would be wrong for him to do it even though he could.

Steel Lust. Greed. Compulsive Buying Disorder.

I wish i knew -- i have been windering why i sometimes get duplicates. I use both of my doubles, so it's not to keep one pristine... I think steel lust is probably, for me, the most honest answer i can come up with. But what do the knives i doubled up on have in common? I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, it's a very, very good question!

I have picked up 1 extra of a few different SY and SR patterns, the HRLM, RMD, DMLE, S6 and the Wardens. Other than that, I can't really afford more than 1 at a time. With the price of ammo these days, I will be lucky to even buy 1.

I think a person should be able to buy a few extras of a model, but for small releases, I'd like to see a 2 or 3 per person limit. Just my opinion. I'm not judging the low life scalper scum bags at all.

I just sold my one double that I had because I didn't need it so I thought it should go to someone more worthy. In theory I could keep my muddy FBM and my matching muddy game warden be content and sell everything else, but I don't see that happing anytime soon

I think if a knife is mint you should be able to get what you paid for it, but do take Vic's stance on the markups some people seem to do However I think the original poster should say what his plans would be because I don't think he did.

though it would nice to go one the antiques road show in 50 years with a mint DM MOD

I don't know what Dan's options would be. Federal statutes are very stringent on this issue. If Dan doesn't set a purchase limit in advance, anyone could purchase his entire inventory in a single order and Dan would have to honor the sale.

Umm, you'll have to refer me to those federal statutes on internet commerce Bruce. Dan can sell to whoever he wants, at whatever price he wants, in whatever quantities he wants as long as he is not committing fraud or discriminating against a protected class.

Practically speaking, since you don't know what quantity of knives he's starting with nor the actual transaction order and quantities, you'd have a pretty tough time making any kind of case regardless. And good luck finding an attorney who would take your case on contingency and self-fund it through discovery and trial.
