Well I just came back from decontruction of wood palettes.

It was fun, I used my RMD and my FFFBM. Mostly my FBM cuz it's extremely friggin' thick. But the RMD was actually pretty decent.

Srry I don't have any pictures of the palettes but I'll try to get some of the aftermath.

There's still half a palette of decent wood left. So I could destroy some more. WHOO!!!!!!

Right now I'm just resting and watching some shows in my home-theater... I don't have a pic of that either.

I'm chillin' sipping on some G2 and eating a Clif Bar.

Anyways, I'm tired but anticipate for a really woody next post filled with pictures of wood and wood and more wood and knives.

As I promised yesterday, this is gonna be a very woody post.

Here was what I did yesterday. 1 wood palette.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Big friggin' pile of wood.

Here is what's gonna get destroyed today.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

The technique that I used was:

First loosen up the board with the RMD.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

No damage.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Then take the FFFBM for the really heavy prying.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

This board was being a little stubborn...so I went to plan B...DESTROY!!!!!

The pictures speak for themselves.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

After that I had several leverage points so I easily took of the wood and bent the nails, etc, etc.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Here's me doing the first technique.

Pry with RMD.

FFBM time!!!

WHOO!!!

OK... so then I decided to see what the FBM could handle. There were two thick boards stuck together, by nails. I was able to pry it apart and the wood literally just tore.

Oh and I also wasn't very careful during all of this and constantly scraped the tip of the FFBM into nails and, once, straight into a rock...it's fine...fat tip!!!

Some more wood to the pile!!!!

I'm still not finished. There's still some food left!!!!!

I probably won't get it finished until the end of this week or so.

Anyone want some wood????

BTW... don't try this with any other knife. You might actually get it out of alignment. During all of this, I was able to bend the FFFBM, very thick, way beyond 30 degrees. It bent way beyond what I was comfortable for it to bend. Both are extremely flexible though. Good thing they are too.

Yes... 30 degrees. Maybe more. I kind of bent it to the point where most knives that are 1/4 thick would have snapped. It was bent pretty far. I actually thought I would bend the blade permanently but it didn't happen.

Oh, BTW, the dent that I was talking about on Northern1's post, it's on the picture with the FFBM tip. You can barely see it.

Scrappy,

Yes, I'd think something that is 5/16 in thick would definitely be a pry bar.

Only problem is the tip of the FBM is waaaay too fat to fit into any crevice...that's what the RMD is for.

M22,

Wood give for FBM.

Thanks,

I hope this little mini review will put all your fears of prying things with a Busse Kin Knife, tip or blade, to rest.

... not that many of you fear tip breaking, but I've seen my fair share in other knives.
