I actually aimed my fenix through a loupe at the wall.  It was very neat as it acted like a projector.  I could see how the LED was actually shaped! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

PoPs, Fenix is made in China! what?!?!?! Great lights bro.  You need one.  I didn't realize you didn't already have one! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />   I have an L2D Premium w/ an L1D body on it. That new light looks pretty nice - I'll have to look in to it!

someone needs to explain all this premium q5 stuff.  why are there two different models with the same bulb and battery?  why don't i settle for a $20 1 watt aaa led? or my photon?  soled?

Mag, check out  http://www.lumileds.com/pdfs/ab21.pdf This app note is for Lumileds (Luxeon) but applies in principle for other LED makes as well.

There are lots of good reviews here...  http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=19 A couple on the first page and most are on the second page. I personally like the light, but my life doesn't depend on it.  I do feel it was worth the money that's why I bought the second one.  You should give one a try.....I'm sure you won't be sorry.
