I've made a few postings about the upcoming Knob Creek show, but they've been split between BladeForums and the Yard, and buried in a threads where they might not be noticed, so I'm making this post.

Busse will have a presence, but they'll also have the Idaho crew at the Oregon Knife Collectors Association (OKCA) Show April 12 - 13, 2008 per this post: Fair Warning !.

The Knob Creek show will be open to the public April 11 - 13, 2008 Knob Creek Range Info (Schedule is at the bottom of the page). For whatever it's worth, that's also the weekend of "Thunder over Louisville", so lodging may be hard to find, but if you're at Knob Creek and the weather's OK (and you can tolerate HUGE crowds), then you may want to watch the air show and/or fireworks.

Man, I'd love to make the trip up to Knob Creek again. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Not sure if I'll make it or not, but it's a great event and if I can I will.

Thankfully it's close enough for me to day trip, if I need to. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

have there been any postings yet as to what knives might show up at blade? i'm betting some DMDC's will show. Last year they had some tan scrappers and hooks. Someone was nice enough to pick me up one of each.

I haven't seen anything from the Yard, and with the TX -> OH move and the commitment to a second batch of DMDCs I wouldn't hold my breath, but they might surprise me. Eric has been teasing folks on the Swamp Rat forum about a new upcoming release, but I haven't seen it yet. Also, Garth (id "Blue Label") is talking about getting some Busse Combat knife pictures up on BladeForums in the next few days.

I don't know; Blade 2008 gives them over a month beyond Knob Creek (May 30 to June 1). Dan and Patti may even have stuff set aside for Knob Creek, but I'm guessing that they probably haven't had time to build up inventory due to the frequency of releases this year.

Guys - I would really be shocked if the Scrap Yard did not have some knives to sell at the Blade Show !! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> I strongly suspect there will be something special, and Dan will let us know before the show. Have Faith!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

That's what I meant to say. I don't think that there'll be much from the Yard at Knob Creek in April (but I'm not in any special position to know one way or the other). However, the extra time between Knob Creek and Blade should provide time to build up a release -- I'd expect, like last year, that some will also be available online after Blade.

Ahhh... I see: I started this thread about Knob Creek, but then other folks jumped out to Blade on me. My availability speculation was with regards to what I expect to be at Knob Creek -- I'm not even going to speculate about what might be on the tables at Atlanta.
