Two months of interupted sleep, month and a half of back pain from the cold acting up the herniated disk from this past August, two of the crappiest weeks that I have had in a long time, went to a wake tonight and on the way home got into a mild car accident..... And no DF yet.

The ahole slams on his brake as soon as the light turns yellow, I slam on mine, the roads have ice and I hit him. The ahole is from an Eastern European country which is very common in this area, gets out, looks at me and shrugs. I said the light just turned yellow and he said its now red. I said I have a witness, my wife. I no speak English. He said nobody hurt, my bumper is cracked. I drive a Land Rover Discovery. Great vehicle! It is completley reinforced so when the bumper cracked there is a metal bumber underneath that was not hurt. It is a very solid vehicle. He decides that he wants to drive off. Knowing what he was about to do I look at my wife and mouth to her to get the plat. Now faced with either beating the crap out of this old ahole, Mr. I no speakedy English I figured on calling 911 instead. I followed him and described the vehicle and then drove to the police station. now it is in their hands and the insurance.

Two scenarios and P.O.P can verify this as he lived in this area. I do not mean to point fingers but in this part of Chicago we are over run by these people who refuse to learn and speak English and come from Eastern Europe (by the way he had the flag on his car). I know it is not all of them but this is not the first encounter anyone has had like this with them. They pull the no English thing all the time. I have Eastern European friends who tell me the reason is they are usually ILLEGAL. 3 scenarios. 1. He had no insurance. 2. Not his car 3. Illegal alien. Needless to say he will get his since I have given the info to the cops. I am just still sooo pissed!!!

Sorry to vent and in no way should this be taken as bashing on them. But again, this part of the city is overun and it is fact.

I feel better that I got it off of my chest and have no one to vent to.

I feel your pain.Yes I know the area well. Sorry for the accident. And I'm with you on the insurance,or drivers license thing. Hope the Chicago Police get your driver,not just someone else in the home who has a valid license.Sucks that repairing the bumper may be on you. Won't be cheap I'm sure. Illinois still requires ALL drivers to have insurance,although I'm sure many don't.
As for the Dog Father,thank God and Dan Busse he has shipped all the Dogs. It's in the mail and by Wednesday you will be driving around Irving and Austin with a 9 inch chopper in your trunk...for chopping trees in the Busse Woods Forest Preserves.Here's hoping this Saturday your Dog arrives just because you deserve it so much!!!

It could be worse I had a guy from an far far eastern country drive right over me while I was in the crosswalk and he was looking backwards driving forwards. I jumped up so I landed on his hood ,he was so surprised his smoke fell out of his mouth. As soon as I was off the hood he took off almost hitting another person.
He sped off so fast no one got his plate. The scam in vancouver at the time was asians could have another guy take the test and the white guy at the DMV would never notice that the guy who took the test was a different guy who got his photo taken. I knew a guy who said he passed the drivers exam 45 times.

i hope you at least left him with a huge dent in the hood, unsub.

Thank you gentlemen! I woke up feeling a bit better. After all she is a solid truck as under my bumper is solid metal. The only thing is that the bumber is cracked. I deleted the country in the above post and put Eastern Europe as I did not want to offend anyone and if I did I am sorry! P.O.P however knows who i am talking about.



I forgot that near my house the is a huge Forest Preserve called Busse Woods. I actually told Jerry about this years ago when I ordered my first SHBM. The area is named after the first settlers all of whom had the last name of Busse.
If I remember correctley, Jerry said that they may have been relatives (unless he was kidding). Dan, do you know if you had any ancestors in the Chicago area.
