I took some advice off the Yard and took up the services of a certain Rainwalker to supply me a Kydex and Leather sheath for my DMDC. Cannot wait to get them in the mail.

Gorgeous sheaths! and practical, even better. How much trouble do you have getting your blades through customs? I've been toying with the idea of seeing mongolia on horseback. I'd love to have my FBM with me thousands of miles from nowhere.

Not much. I let them know what I have in the checked luggage at the desk when getting my ticket. It is never a problem. Only in carry on would you have a problem.

When I last went, TSA went through my stuff right in front of me, out in public as this was what they did to all luggage. I remember watching them pull my TOPS street scalpel out of the sheath, look at it with a strange look and put it all back in the case.

They tried to confiscate my stryker and rookie when I forgot to put them in my checked luggage. They actually thought I was going to forfeit them instead of mailing them back to myself. Its such a scam operation. They charged me like $15 per blade to mail them and wouldn't let me mail them in the same package. I'm not really worried about TSA. They are just a bunch of wankers anyway. I'm more worried about the other end of world, off US or at least Western soil. I haven't had any problems so far, but I've never taken a fixed blade overseas.

Scrap Yard Field Trip! You can write it off as a business expense and see how they work their own leather. Field research They still live nomadically and do almost everything the old ways. Their daily life is like our outdoor adventures. If you want to come you're welcome to Another thing I've looked into is Romanian outdoor group excursions into their wilderness. Somewhere I read that they have like 80% of the bears and 50% of the wolves in all of Europe. I think that would be cool. Scary, but cool.
