Got around to getting a quick n dirty sheath done for my Dogfather. This is what the semi production sheaths are going to look like if I get enough interest. That little Tippman saddle stitcher sure is a nice machine, saves me a lot of time when I need to spend more time hand stitching the customs. And my fingers are much happier not having to sew these monsters!

yah that looks really good very clean.

Now this is not a dis, and I don't know a thing about making sheaths, just a question. When you make a sheath for a knife this big, don't you want a leg tie or thong hole at the bottom to keep all the blade's mass from swinging around too much when moving around?

Well I'm not a huge fan of leather. However, I gotta admit that it's one sweet looking sheath. And if the price is right who knows.

No problem at all bro, its a legitimate question. Its really up to the persons taste, I have some longer sheaths that have the leg strap attachment and some that dont. Some find them a little restrictive as there is no bend in a solid loop sheath like there is with a dangler sheath. These mid ride looped sheaths tend to bounce around a little less than low ride (belt loop goes the full length of the handle).

Thanks for asking! Its questions like yours that make me think, and thats how my work evolves. In over ten years of leather work I've never stopped looking for new and better ways of doing what I do.

Its my initials done in a runelike fashion, I found out just after I decided to use it as my logo that the Dead Kennedy's logo is very similar.

Reminds me of a bindrune.

Nice job
