My first busse kin was the tan yard hook. Being a dumb kid and not knowing how rare it was I used it. I've pounded the spine with granite stones(harder than brother noss's hamers mind you), split deer pelvises, chopped through bone, used it as an ice pick, dug fire and poop holes, pryed logs apart, opened cans(black olives ummm), batoned frozen hard wood, opened beers, and chucked it at trees. Its not a pretty sight but its the best user blade I have ever had. I would say it gets used.

yep! my DFLE is sooo scrathced and scuffed up. and there are quite a few dings and rolls in the edge. (from hitting nails and rocks and the tip going into the ground when chopping) but I LOVE IT!

All Busse kin knives are users... But somehow it's always my S6, not my Busse Badger Attack Tac or Basic 7 or my Yard SS4 or DFCG that gets used! My poor S6 is now a bit (.25"!) shorter than on arrival (tip versus steel post- oops!!) and is impersonating a stilletto from polishing out dings in the edge. BUT, I love it and would buy a tan one the second they get re-released.. (Or failing that a S7 in black or tan). Jerry's stuff I can quite happily ignore as I've tried it and not taken to it, but Dan's stuff- now that is a bit special for the money..

Yup, and my S6 cleaned up very nicely! Dan's sr77 is a great all round steel, I prefer stainless generally but my S6 is my can-do knife (till Dan does a stainless S6 anyway..).
My S6 is now bare nekkid because 1/lots of black was gone anyway 2/I don't actually like black blades as I'm not in the forces 3/that darned Knifeguy with his shiny knives gave me ideas! Oh and Dan's knives don't rust and pit- just surface rust with no harm done, so who needs the black? I will probably go for the LE S7 instead of CG..
