Thanks. I recently joined Barf but don't visit much. I generally hang out at the Apriliaforums.

I have a photo of the Vtwin Aprilla dirtbike/supermoto on my wall. I used to have photos of girls but now just the Italian 450. I was checking out the parts on a Tueno and to put all those awesome bars ,brakes cables etc on my 919 it would be cheaper to buy the Aprilla.

Yeah, the upgrades will kill ya Unsub. I made a major mistake and didn't buy the Factory version of my Tuono. The cost of upgrading the Showa forks with Ohlins internals and a new Ohlins rear shock was more than the cost to get all this stuff plus the Oz wheels on the Tuono Factory.
Lesson learned. Don't go cheap on the base bike if you think you're going to want the upgrades. I really like the new Ducati 848 but I'm waiting for the the 848S.
And yes, those SXV supermotos rock. Definitely pinup material

Ducati 848 is a beautiful bike. Reminds me very much of the 748, which is a good thing. But I really want to get a supermoto like the DRZ-400sm.

very nice picture Kraz. as long as you are getting some wind in your face, its irrelevant as to what you are riding. if you ride, then you ride. thats all that matters. in this neck of the woods theres a on-going battle between harley riders and sportbikers - but we even give each other the low 2 when we pass

If I had a lightweight supermoto it would be straight to jail time for me I think. The Tuono is heavy enough that I don't really enjoy doing wheelies or stoppies on it though it is more than capable of doing either. As I remember some guy held the stoppie distance record on a Tuono for awhile.
Folks are generally pretty cool here in northern CA about tolerating other peoples rides. There are exceptions but mostly we get along. Harley's, Beemers, Metric Cruisers, Supermotos, dual sports, and sportbikes of all flavors can be found at Alices on the weekend. Even more stunning for me as a new CA rider is having people pull over to the side of the road in the mountains to let the sportbikes past. As Martha would say: "It's a good thing."
