A few comments on the Camp Tramp and the Scrapper 6.
They arrived Friday and while I can't really evaluate them at length at this time, I thought I would post a few pics and give my first impressions.

The CT has (for me) a perfect balance of weight, size and feel that has sent it to the top of my short list. It's big, but not heavy and could be carried afield all day without draggin' me down. It handles more like a medium size knife but is quite capable of runnin' with the likes of the Chopper and Ratweiler whose blood lines apparently are decended from the CT.

The S6 is about the same weight and has excellent balance and like the CT would be a good choice, but probably a tad less versatile in the "all 'round" catagory.

Truth is, they're both fantastic knives, (though I'd prefer the CT in Black) and while I wouldn't hesitate to grab either in a pinch, my nod would go to the venerable Camp Tramp. YMMV. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Sweet. I've always wanted a CT. I was a little late in getting into Busse Kin knives and they were just being discontinued. Doubt I can find one for near the orig price. I think they go for 250 these days. I believe they were around 120 when the first came out. Great bargain when the first came out.

I still like the idea of the S7 though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
