I stopped stripping the Swamp Rats. My Ratweiler, one of my Ratmandus, M6, and one of my HRLMs still have the coatings. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I have a Canadian sheathmaker I usually use but Jeff has wooed me away a couple times now when I want something a little extra special. My YK sheath he made is set up for multiple carry options and the DFLE is one of those knives that simply cries out for leather. He has been really patient with my absurd demands and I think the result will be very impressive. It is quite different from the other DFLE sheaths we have seen so far and I thik you will all be surprised.
Congrats HD I particularly like that sexy Fallkniven set up.

Victor,
You have done a wonderful job sheathing your flock. The way you take care to preserve these blades is a tribute to your manhood.
Pride comes in many forms Vic. And any man could judge you by the sheaths your knives ride in and know that YOU are a man who takes his steel personal.
You are right that DFLE deserves to be in a "Special" sheath and praise God yours is! That is a glorious piece of work by Jeff. And I am nuts about the textured black sheath! That idea is over the top. Well done sir!
When it comes to making heirloom leather sheaths for my knives I will never look to anyone but my dear friend Jeff Law. He puts so much love and pride into EVERY sheath he makes that it would be foolish of me to ever shop anywhere else for my top quality leather work.
It always seems odd to me when I see a post like yours that this is a side line for him. Just something he does while watching TV with the family at night. He really has a full time job where he is loved, needed and respected some 50 hours a week as well!
Peace.

Great looking sheaths HD. I also really like the pictures you took. Very clear, focused and the white balance is good. Good composition, lighting, etc. I can't do that well yet, but I am learning. Just got my DSLR and look forward to taking pictures like yours. Very nice Vic. (let's see...you can sharpen the heck out of knives and take good pictures). Hmmm...my jealousy is rearing it's ugly head again.
