Basic 7 that is <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> No Knob Creek or Eugene for me but I was lucky to score this sweet addition on the exchange. It's my first MINFI knife and I really want to try this bad boy out. BTW, the Basic handle is substantially larger than the small handle used on the original DM.

The asymmetric edge (compare edges in both photos) is wicked sharp. And note the family resemblance <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> When are we getting one in SR77 Dan? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Very nice lookin piece! Congrats! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I've wondered about the feel of those handles in comparison to some of the Scrappers.

Thanks guys,

Chris, yeah I really want to take the 7 out and beat it. It has a fabulous balance and is very light for its length. Mike (Evolute) and I had dinner last night and he said I might be able to join him on one of his nature photo op trips. Headline: "Two Knife Enthusiasts Level 10 Acres of Forest in Northern CA" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Jeff, the handles feel very similar to the S6 handles only with the index ridges. I think the B7 handles feel great.

Subtitle under the photo: "Last seen running off into the sunset, waving a large knife and giggling!"

That would be a fun time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I keep trying to twist Mike's arm to wander up this way for some fun, maybe you two could carpool! I'll provide the place to crash and good Canadian beer! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Lew,

I've never experienced a Basic 7 nor mINFI, but based on my experience with other asymmetric edges, 7 inch blades, INFI, Resiprene C, and Busse family knives, I bet the Basic 7 is going to be great.

As always, great dining with you. We'll get together for an excursion, when we can both make it work.

Chris, I'd love to head North and visit. Eventually....

Nice Basic 7 Kraz! After my S6 mine is a firm favourite (mine is smooth coat not crinkle, with a factory kydex sheath). I always think of my B7 as an elegant, elongated scalpel and my S6 as a small axe!

Enjoy wearing some black coat off anyway! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Sweet Score.

If anyone is interested here is a sweet test of the B9

Have fun with the B7. MINFI + Res-C = Awesome combo.

Or, here's a review of the Basic 7 which took Cliff TWO YEARS to kill. Amazing.

Great question. Soon I hope, that's a great looking knife. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />
