I just picked up a Spec Ops sheath for one of my Ratweilers, anyway it didn't fit so I read somewhere that I should take out the kydex insert and boil it til it becomes soft. I did this, the knife fit right in however once the kydex cooled it became tight again and I couldn't get the knife out of it. Does anyone know the proper way to do this or a solution to this?
thanks
SB

The liner is actually crushed pvc, thats why they suck.
I dont know how you would get it out but dont yank on it, you might hurt yourself.

I wonder if one of our custom sheath makers could make a liner for you.

SB, Try putting a couple of layers of Masking or Painters tape on the blade before inserting it in to the warm plastic. Once it's cooled and re-hardened, carefully remove the blade and remove the tape. Wala it should fit. If it's still too tight try a little more tape the next time.

If that still doesn't work let us know and well figure something out.
