When I went outside to do the lanyard pics, a flock of Buzzards was right there!
I know I am 60 and all, but this is a scary omen! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Thank God, they aren't here for me......yet. This large dead raccoon on seemed to be the object of their gathering. Whew!

Great Pics, Vic! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> I'm glad to hear that those big ugly birds weren't after you! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

On the other hand, the Black Vulture is an amazing bird! Somewhat disgusting, but amazing just the same.

Yea, I just moved him down a little further from the house. "Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms". Spit.

Nice pictures Vic! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> We have both black and red-headed turkey vultures around here. Both are butt-ugly, but majestic in flight. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Turkey buzzards, hawks, ospreys, eagles, herons, and big wood peckers are just some of the big birds I commonly see here. At dusk the sky is filled with bats and occasional owls. Big blue skinks live under my vinyl siding (keeps the roaches down). It's a zoo here. I like it that way. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

How many were there? Looks like 4 or so.

There were more off camera. I'd say at least seven or eight when I first walked outside. There are five in the first picture (look up in the trees on the left).

What does a senior ecclesiastical official of the Catholic Church have to do with buzzards? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Sorry, couldn't resist. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />
