There is an shipment of Russian SKS's coming into Canada this summer for about 250$ each and I am awfully tempted but if I got one soviet semi I would want a SVT40 as well. We can't have AK's in Canada but the SKS and the CZ version of the AK is fine. Apparently it is the AK operating system that makes it evil.
What I really want though is a nice accurate bolt gun that shoots cheap ammo. I am considering a Stevens or Savage .223.
If I was a bit more responsible I would not buy a gun but instead buy a scope for the ones I already have. I tried out a used 6x fixed Leupy side by side a really nice Nikon and the optics on the Luepy were incredible. The Nokon was very nice and had lots of features but the Luepy was the opposite ,no features at all except a fantastic lens. I have also heard good things about the Weaver grand slam.
I can get by with a 4x or 6x fixed but I want the best optics I can get.
I would love to hear some suggestions.
