How do you EDC a small fixed blade. I just recently got into them and am having a hard time figuring out the best way to carry my recently acquired SW. I have a kydex fit for neck or belt carry. What are your opinions on the best way to conceal carry. Any websites? I haven't searched yet seeing as I just received my blade today.

Many people use a high hip ride with their kydex. It's the easiest way to CC a fix.

You could also do horizontal near the small of your back. I've been doing that with my RMD for quite some time. It works really well but is hard to conceal because I also have a pouch attached to the sheath. Though, the pouch is really useful in the woods were I'm not really concerned about CCing a fix.

Cloak and I have also messed with the MercHarness(TM) style of carrying it. Using a piece of paracord and having the knife inverted under you armpit. This is really great for conceal carry with a shirt and jacket.

I can get some pics if you want.

first and foremost, understand the laws in your area for fixed blade carry. whether you choose to abide by them or not, you need to know what they are.

that said, my favorite way to carry a small(ish) fixed blade is sheathed in my off hand pocket. i carry this way on hikes and in the backcountry only because it is technically concealed, which is illegal for fixed blades where i live.

as Sharp said, I've found that you can conceal almost anything on a MercHarness rig under your arm. I cc'd a CRKT hissatsu all day once, so problems. Then I found out that was illegal in my area, so... haven't done that again since. But seriously, you could cc a battle ax like that, because of the shape of the human body and also because that's an area where there is usually a lot of extra space in clothing.

Have you hugged your camp knife today?

Dude, you can CC any size Fix in OR. There's now law against CCing fix. Hell, I could CC a Wakizashi if I wanted to. I'd get a lot of weird looks but it's completely legal.

FBM CC.

if you concealed it properly you shouldn't get any looks. Improperly concealed guns or knives make people very uneasy and it isn't good for anybody.

I was really joking.

I really have no need to be in the city and conceal carry a knife or pistol. P-town is fairly safe... at least where I walk around...

In woods, however, who's gonna see me with a 20 inch sword? No one!!
