Cant wait, it will be a squeeze though.

I can't honestly say I am looking forward to F5 games.

I think there are BETTER alternatives to F5 madness IMO.

I don't pitch a tent in the Best Buy parking lot after my Thanksgiving meal to scrap with "MOBS" early the next morning for a good reason.

Why create that type of madness and strong potential for ill-will, frustration, etc.?

I would MUCH rather see pre-orders like Swamp Rat is doing for the HC. - Less stress. Less hassle and everybody has a fair and reasonable time frame to get their orders in.

Pre-Ordering probably also helps take some of the resalers out of the mix who try to scalp on the secondary market.
Let the scalpers buy all they want so long as they are not taking away from others who are trying to order in a fair and reasonable manner and fair time-frame.

If they make a profit on the secondary market because buyers and demand are willing to pay it, then so be it. But, let it be because demand grows after everybody around here gets a fair chance.
NOT because certain people around here didn't camp out at their computers and F5 at just the right moment and the scalpers who orders 30 can resale them to the unfortunate people who had lives to live or work, etc.

I would rather see Busse kin fans and followers get their knives from the maker. Then the fans and followers can be happy with their knives and discuss the greatness of the knives here on the forum.

Rather than promoting the frantic trampling all over each other madness.

Which scenario creates a better feeling around here? What is more enjoyable for everybody?:

Great hype about great knives that the regulars around here can make sure to be able to have an opportunity to buy in a reasonable manner? And then be excited about getting and sharing enjoyment amongst friends here on the forums and abroad.

Or hyped situation about how maddening the buying will be? Be ready to buy or be trampled? Get there first or get out of the way? Put your life on hold, be fast or deal with the nasty practice of jacked up pricing done by those who are hording for the obvious purpose of profiting and screwing people on the secondary market - many who tried to buy fairly?

I don't really like order caps as I think there are justifiable reasons for buying or wanting more than one or even more than 2 or 3.

Ruthless my friend, cold and ruthless.

Works wonders for closing programs that start to freeze.

I agree with knifeguy that preorder is a lot less stressful. There's good money to be made from people buying bulk and reselling at a higher cost, but I think the knives should be left for the guys who really want it, but this is a "free market". I think we already have a thread about this so I won't say more. For now, you snooze, you lose.

i've never not gotten a knife,i guess i'm lucky.

not the busse combat store but the busse combat web-site do the pre-ordering thing
you order an ash-1 and get it when its completed.

i dont know why SR is pre-ordering this time and not others.

the store seems to open in the evening when the majority of people are out of work
although i realize that doesnt mean all of them and i dont know if that is dans reasoning or not.

i really dont like either method.i dont like the stampede and i dont like pre-ordering and then waiting "who knows how long" but i just deal with it.at least this way i pay for a knife and get it a week later.

it doesnt HAVE to be like this but i get the big picture.all this hype is what makes busse kin busse kin and the busse kin forums so unique.i really think the hogs get a kick out of the chaos.

at the end of the day i dont let it bother me,if i get a knife then i get a knife,if not fine and if i want it bad enough i can get it for an extra $30 later on.

i appreciate these fine knives and the warranty and customer service that come with them and the fact that i think they are really good deals price wise.

Selling via a Pre-Order system is still a free market.

As I mentioned, I don't care for cap limits.

I am all for people being able to buy as many as they want.
If somebody wants to buy 100 knives. More power to them.
And if they want to sell them on the secondary market - fine. I think buyer's should have that freedom as well.

But, I don't give a RATS BUTT about how much money can be made on the secondary market.
If investors can profite without trampling people at the initial release - more power to them.
I personally feel the ideal scenario is that the knives on the secondary market stay at close to original cost. Maybe some slight appreciation to cover shipping and collectibility. But, many of the prices even right after releases are rediculous.

The regular guys should have a reasonable and fair chance.

This is supposed to be an enjoyable hobby - not work, not a time leach, not a sacrifice of time spent with family and friends and not Frustrating!

IMO, most everyone should benefit from this system including Busse and kin.
