I want one so bad but I would need a proxy to get one.
Anyone want to help a fellow dog out?

I don't know if Busse has used Pre-Ordering in the past or not. I don't follow Busse as much, but I wouldn't be surprised. When you place an order directly from Busse Combat, as opposed to the BCS (which sells product that's on-hand) or a BladeForums 'ganza (where knives are sold as if the quantity is fixed, but delivery may take weeks, which has never made sense to me), it's a pre-order. Months may pass before they charge your card and send your order. I can only recall ordering from BC once, for a pair of Sus Scrofas; after a few weeks of seeing knife designs that I liked better but couldn't buy because I didn't know when that SS order would hit, I canceled. A long-delay sales model must be successful or Jerry wouldn't keep doing it, but I don't have the patience to wait for months. In my opinion, the time between a placing an order and receiving it should never exceed 6 weeks -- any longer gives the customer too much time to become frustrated and/or back out.

Mac - I'm willing to proxy for you if you would like. Just to give you an idea of cost, it adds up to: Cost of knife Georgia sales tax (~7.5% ?) Shipping cost - about $8.00
So, once Dan posts the price you will know about how much is involved. Tom

i wouldn' be surprised if every time the swamp and yard release similar knives, the rats take pre-orders. i know if the knives were sold on the first come basis and released simultaneously, i'd run to the yard every time. some would most of us here. that would hurt the swamp pretty bad.
i am also surprised that since the yard was established, people are still finding gems in their busse clan collections from the swamp like the rmd. it has nothing to do with being surprised by the knife, it's the people.

I liked Rats for small blades and Dogs for large ones but the stainless has ruined that rule. I will be picking up a couple HC's because I love the design and G10. The HC might even end up as my DFLE's companion knife because I like as tin as possible so the piggyback sheath does not stick out to far although the Muppy seems so perfect it will be a hard choice.

I didn't order the HC and I feel like I might regret it later, but I could only afford one and I'm liking the MP better.

This is the nicest looking release to date. Now, the catch is to score a couple...
