Well, summer is here and it’s beautiful outside. However, until my 3 year old daughter is a bit older, full on camping will have to wait. Though, nothing wrong with a bit of day hiking. This was taken Saturday when the 2 of us went out for the day. I’ve been many places – South Africa, South America, Middle East and I tell you, there’s something very special about the North American woods, something of a cathedral quality that’s difficult to explain. I just love it out there and so does she.
The Dumpster Mutt carries very easily on the waist belt of the carry pack I use to carry my daughter and the few hikers we encountered didn’t even notice – very inconspicuous knife to carry. You can see the knife in its’ homemade sheath on the second last picture. Talking about sheaths – when we returned that evening I was pleasantly surprised to find my Rainwalker Kydex sheath waiting for me. Thanks Jeff, great sheath and even got a lanyard as an add on. Can’t wait to test it out next weekend.
