04.00AM a blackbird woke me up, sitting in a tree near me screaming like h*ll and refused to fly away. I hated that bird soo much...

OOOHH AHHH!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Man that cut looks really bad. Ahhh.... Hope it heals quickly and well.

Though, glad you could do a little relaxing in the woods. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I accidentally cut my right thumb nearly off with my TOPS. It wasn't as bad as yours, I only got three stitches.

But, goodness, does that cut look bad. Maybe I should take the FBM out of your hands for awhile. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Simon, I would like to buy a Puukko knife: any suggestions besides the most common brands (Helle, Roselli etc.?). Regards.

Nice pics Simon. Can I suggest a pair of running shoes in place of boots instead of changing the type of sock you wear? I don't know if you wear boots hiking or not. Too many people feel that their footwear needs to survive long after they drop dead. How often do you get blisters walking around in running shoes? I switched several years ago and have been blisterless since. The combination of air flow and light weight have been great. No more sore legs or back. If you are wearing boots for support your pack is too heavy.
