I can see that HD. Dark gray and black don't really go to well together.
Though urban gray + black = awesomeness = urban dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Dumb question time from downunder: are there any anti-rusting property gains by using this process upon a stripped blade? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Here is cody1's explanation over at KF, "A patina is a slight oxidation to the outer layer of the metal. It will happen over time or you can do [ENTER NAME]'s vinegar bath. It helps to make the high carbon steel a bit more stain resistant. You could almost say that it is the very earliest stage of rust, but not really. It's main function is for looks and to aid in stain reduction."
