As I was touching up the edges on my medium choppers today, it occured to me. The YG isn't really a chopper. It will chop, but not like these other two. We have waited for a SY Scrapper 7. Or even an 8" DFLE. Or maybe a SY Scrapweiler. Now comes Busse Combat's awesome Sarsquatch. That would be great in Res C and SR77 wouldn't it? The Yard Hook/Guard is a nice recurve, but it's high time for a Scrap Yard medium chopper!

Although my use for bigger blades in limited. I agree a medium chopper from the Yard is in order.

Vic - while I was talking with Dan, he mentioned that the 7" Scrapper was a possibility this year. Also, I bought a Sarsquatch - neat knife! I'm going to take some Blade show "loot" pictures now, so that we can get them posted later.

I wasn't going to buy any more Busse Combats, but I must have a Sarsquatch. I hope they aren't too expensive. A Scrapper 7 would be nice, too.

I agree it's high time for the S7 or even better KnifeGuy's Scrapweiler S7 design.. I have, but never use, a DFCG, the S7 would get used!! It'd get beat up like my S6 has..

please don't. then i'll have to get one. hard enough resisting as it is.

i still want a skinny ash. oh to have the hell razor, ash, and sarsquash together in one drawer...that's a chunk of dough, though.

As much as I like the SARsquatch if Scrap Yard makes it I hope they leave the false edge off the top and leave the point more like the Chopweiler. We were taling about this at BLADE and it seems it would be much more useful for batoning that way. I would say that the Scrapper 7 prototype they had at BLADE weighed less than the Yard Guard and had a more narrow blade. If it is made like that I don't think it would be a chopper. I vote for a ScrapYard Chopweiler!!!

I liked the "anvil" that was implemented near the front of the Becker Brute (BK1) for batoning. However, I don't know it that's a copywrite/trademark/patented feature, or if it's considered public domain.
