I have been asked for the LE/Satin version many times way back when...

Here it is... FINALLY!

Here are some comparison picks:

Scrapweiler LE with Scrapweiler in green (even if green is not an option - it was easier to photochop back when.):

Scrapweiler LE with stripped Camp Tramp (* Notice just slightly dropped tip with slightly more shallow belly towards front. Thicker height in middle with gradual hump in spines similar to Chopweiler's. ):

[Linked Image from i80.photobucket.com]

Green Scrapweiler Concept with Chopweiler (My Concept Scrapweiler has just a hair more drop in the point and just a little shallower belly than the Chopweiler.):

My concept is a hair longer than the Camp Tramp and about the same length OAL as the Chopweiler.

The Camp Tramp is 12.4375" OAL
The Chopweiler is 13.125" OAL

My Camp Tramp is about .235" thick without coating.
My Chopweiler is about .240" thick with coating.

*** .22" - .25" works great for me and I don't really want thicker.

I vote for about .23" - .25" thick tops.

*** For the record, even though my green Scrapweiler Concept appears to have a swedge, I vote for NO Swedge!!! It is MUCH easier to add a swedge for those who want one than to remove it for those who don't want one.

I will take 2 of any color of Scrapweiler. I like the drop point much better than the old Camp Tramp. Nice work knifeguy.

I saw an earlier post where someone requested I chop together a SarSquatch with Res-C.

There are things I like about the SARSquatch, but I would rather not have a swedge like the SARSquatch has.

There are some subtle differences between the blade shapes of my Scrapweiler Concept and the SarSquatch's.
I really like the SarSquatch's blade - except for the swedge. But, in the end, I am pretty sure I prefer the Scrapweiler blade design over the SARSquatch's.... I like the slightly pointier tip and the curves.

I do LOVE Convex blades. But, I assume Dan isn't going to convex the blades.

Outside of that, most of the significant differentiating details of the SARSquatch are in the handle - which is a non-issue.

I don't know the exact size of the SARSquatch. I saw and saved a picture of the SARSquatch next to the Chopweiler. The knives are pretty small in the pic as there are many knives. But, I gather the Chopweiler might be about a 1/2" longer than the SARSquatch.

For the fun of it, I chopped my "Best Estimate" in scale in between the Green Chopweiler and Scrapweiler.

The angles from pictures make some differences. But, I get the impression the SAWSquatch might have a little taller blade.

Also, I think the SARSquatch was 0.185" thick. So, noticably thinner than the Chopweiler.

Again, I feel 0.22" would be a nice balance in thickness vs. light for carry and utility purposes. Just my opinion.

Here you go, a direct comparison between the Tramp, Sarsquatch and Chopweiler.

+1

0.22 is my favorite thickness in this sized knife. The ASH1 LE is 0.22 and perfect.

Beautiful knives. I like them very much except for the shape of the finger notch and guard.
