How long am I expected to leave the beer and popcorn alone! Here's a little preview of the abuse testing....the easy stuff. First, total immersion of the MPLE in 38 F beer!

I left it in until the head went down a little.

Then I plunged the little HCLE into hot salty, very corrosive popcorn.

You can see the blade is still chilled.

Even under such stresses, I stuck it into an aluminum can.

Victory is sweet!

Maybe that will hold us until we get the REAL abuse tests! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Be careful Vic. You don't want to snap another blade with all those heavy duty tests <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I'm going camping the 4th of July weekend. I plan on taking the Bird Dog with me for a little use......probably be about as heavy as you just tested the Mud Puppy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

It is unscathed, Bruce. It is a pretty cool little knife. I like it enough to order kydex for it. That and a DFLE, and I'm good to go into the backyard jungle!

I have not seen the Hairy Carry tests that Eric mentioned either. I wonder what's going on. Maybe they have just been really busy filling the DMDC orders.
