bld522 is the "pollmaster" - you might ask him. However, as a prototype already exists and has been displayed at Blade, I don't know that it would have much affect.
Now, Knifeguy's beautiful Chopweiler concept knife - who knows? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I would sure love to see Dan produce THAT knife!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

A tanto Scrapper would be kinda cool, too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I always liked tantos.

Speaking of which... Res-C Air Force One, anyone? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

A tanto does have a very strong point.. Handy on something with a 6 or 7 inch blade!

tanto points are like any other, they can be strong, or weak.
it just depends really, like any other tip.

they do have advantages/differences just like any other blade shape though.
(for example, both cutting surfaces are straight, and you can sometimes have more straight edge)

EMF,

Well, the American tanto is the one that has both cutting surfaces straight. A true Asian tanto is one that is actually a Spanto, but more angular at the tip.

The one on the Tali-whacker is an Asian inspired tanto derived from the Japanese Katana. Up swept blade with a subtle transition of grinds.

I think the whackers were an awesome overrun and I wish at that time I knew about Busse.
