I think you'll be happy with either one, honestly. I can't say much, though, my first was a Yard Guard. Primarily because I likes me a recurve, and a little bit of a thumb ramp.

Lets stop the S6 fanboys: you should've gone for the Mutt.

I've both knives and I barely use the S6. Great knife not doubt but if you want a camp knife go for something bigger (Tramp anyone or why not the more affordable Weiler). For typical outdoor chores a smaller knife is by far more efficient and under the danger of angering my fellow dogs: 4 inches is enough. In this case even the Mutt is too big but I like any ways. A typical jack of all trades, no particular strength but it can do anything.

I really would like to see what people do with their S6, and I don't mean chopping contest in the back yard. So now that you have it post some pics. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I also like the Mutt, since I do not have a S6, lol Kidding aside the DM is a monsta of a blade, I'm sure it can do alot of stuff around camp for sure.

The S6 is a great knife. It carries light and is big enough for most camp chores. It cuts better than the DM for me. The handle fits me better, too. Dan skinned and butchered a deer with one. As far as chopping in the back yard, yes it can do that, too.
