Well, hate to break it too you but Scrapyard INFI is different from Busse INFI. They have to completely different HT which bring different properties.

Do you have sources? That's new info for me too. Maybe Dan can chime in. I heard that the Busse Basic 9 used a cheaper modified INFI, but I've never heard anything about the SS4.

LOL

Sharp is sly.

Trying to horde the SS4s for yourself, are you, Sharp? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I am serious though. The HT on Busse/Swamp is different from the Yard.

maybe they do each steel differently, but if they are doing INFI I think they'd all do it the same.

I think with a statement like that you MUST *emphasis* provide a source... seriously... right now.

Guys,

Sharp is following the O.I.N.K, motto: "No regrets".

This is like the false Jerrys which show up for the Extravaganzaaas. He's lowering the competition for the knives, to make it easier to get what he wants.

Asking him to admit is silly.

LOL

No, it's different.

I've been trying to find the review that showed this. It was a test comparison of a HRLM, SS4, and Fallkniven F1.

On one of the bone chopping test, the SS4 suffered damage not like that of Busse INFI. The HRLM had no damage. The F1 chipped.

This was quite some time ago and I've been frantically trying to find it because it was such a good review.

Well, the review you're mentioning is real. It was on the Wilderness and Survival forum at Bladeforums. However, if you are inferring that the INFI received a different heat treatment & cryo treatment, based on that review... that's getting a little bit wacky.

Well not just from that. I can't quite put my finger on it, maybe Dan could enlighten us, but I remember from somewhere that it is different.

I honestly can't remember and my mind could just be fooling me, but I'm pretty darn sure.
