you can't be "pretty darn sure" and say something that drastic.
thats a pretty big deal and I would be without a doubt sure, before saying something like that.
which busse knife did they use for comparison? did they have anywhere near the same geometry?
and was their any HT probelms with the knife?
basing anyting off of that review is pretty crazy.

Ok, this was a long time ago. Like I said, my mind could be fooling me.
On the review they used a HRLM. Which gets the exact same HT as Busse INFI. It had no problems. The SR-101 from Swamprat gets that exact same HT as the INFI in Busse (at least that how I understand from what 360 told me, and I believe him, too).
What doesn't make any sense is why SR-101 had no problems and the INFI did. I believe the HRLM and SS4 have very similar grind types. The HRLM might have a broader blade but the grind starts lower. The SS4 has a narrower blade but the grind starts higer. When comparing the two, they have equal thickness and equal grind angle, thus if they have the same HT they should perform the same. But that wasn't the case.
I don't think I actually made a interpolation from that review specifically, however. I think it was from somewhere else.
Anyways, I probably should have kept my mouth shut. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
