Horn Dog is THE MAN to do the comparison test! He will soon have a Camp Tramp to include in his testing!

As fate would have it, I have located a slightly used Camp Tramp for a fair price. Naturally, one of my favorite Dogs has it. Let's just call him Mr. Haney. Once I get it and the Sarsquatch, look for an all Busse-made chop off between the Chopweiler, Sarsquatch, and Camp Tramp. No fuzz sticks, or other light bushcraft, just chopping and palmetto slashing. Aaaaeeeee!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If only these people would use their knives, you feel so much better once you put the first scuff marks on because it is no longer mint and instantly becomes a user !!!

Safe Queens really aren't my thing. You're my hero. I'm trying to get one, but to import knives from US make them cost 1,5 times than there ( + about $ 30 shipping and + 30 % customs .... ) But I'm waiting for a CT, it's already travelling, when it will arrive I'll test it for sure !! ( it costed about $ 345 ) It would just be easier to move to the US.

i think this one's supposed to have a factory convex edge. does it compare to the 3WGS? probably not.
The competition grade finish (2008 SE) Sarsquatch does have a wicked convex edge. I don't think any of the others do. I have a competition finish Jackhammer, and the edge is ridiculous. It's the best factory edge I've received on any of my Busses. The FBMLE was a bit sharper, but it's not convex. The competition grade finish is by far my favorite of any of the finishes offered by the Busse Group. It looks great, the edge is amazing, and it can be produced at a lower cost (I think). Win, win, win. I'd love to see it as a finish option on all new offerings.

Thanks guys. Chop-Offs are my favorite thing to do. It is no accident that my first Scrap Yard knife was a Dog Father. I love choppers. As we have seen, my expertise in testing little EDCs sucks. I have a swamp maple that lightening has killed. Time to get out the chainsaw and get some good testing wood! Maybe this week, maybe next week, the ulimate medium chopper chop-off will take place in my swamp! Too bad a Scrap Yard medium chopper isn't ready yet. It will have to wait for another day. Science marches on.
