Happy Summer everyone! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Nice work WD! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> Those Blackberry vines can hurt, but those Blackberries sure do taste good! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Mine are almost ready to pick, time to get ready to be all scratched up for a while. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Happy Summer everyone.

Those thorns look almost as wicked as that blade! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

We have already has so many record high temp days, it is generally too hot to get out and enjoy... and the foliage is dying, creeks are drying up...

hopefully those north of us will get a break from the floods and send that stuff our way.

Having some Summer fun today. Doing a little machete work and mowing.

My friend bushhogged the back for me today. But there is still enough jungle left for proper machete and chopper fun.

While we were out there, a new machete arrived. Doubt that it will out chop the DFLE.

It would be an all day swinger for a younger man in a cooler climate! It is light and fast. Very sharp convex edge, but a bit thin for chopping hard wood. I rolled part of the edge already. Great feel and balance.

If you make the edge too thin on any machete, you can roll the edge on very hard wood. I have already steeled it out. Whether the pricey BRKT can hang with the cheap Tramontina, it still to be seen. The Tramontinas are great.

Yep, those Tramontinas are great for the price, probably the best for the money.

I went back and chopped some maple and the edge was fine. Sweet handling machete.

man that's a sweet looking weed whacker! so did you initially have/put too thin an edge on it? was that the problem, a third world thin grind?!
