In Northern Utah, it's warm low 90s, but overcast and humid today, probably 20% or so, not very usual around here. Still doing some grilling (steak, brats), some potatoe salad, baked beans, and some corn on the cob (it's probably been 2-3 years ago since I've had some). Still an awesome day.

Wow i had a blast lastnight. Lit off alot of fireworks and drank a buch of beer and ate till I thought i was gonna explode.

After all the fire works where done me and a few friends shot off a box of birdshot i had laying around. It was fun till one of the neighbors got mad and told us to stop. We did tho. No one got hurt , every1 had a good time , just a [censored] good night.

Great fish and a great time spent with family. Those photos really epitomize what it is I love about the USA.

If you are honest the worst thing you can say about the US is that they have made some mistakes while trying to make the world a better place. It takes a heck of a lot more guts to try and fail (rather spectacularly in some cases <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />) than to do nothing and complain.

Pundits are saying it is going to be all china in the next century but they are wrong. Innovation is way more important than cheap labour and the US is still way ahead in both tech and media which are going to be huge.

I think as a Canadian I can be impartial about this. The US needs less of a free market so US firms don't have to compete directly against slave labour ,no taxes and no environmental laws and a reboot back to more civil liberties and small business and farms and the future could make the 50's look like the 80's.
