How do you apply one to your knife? Is it possible?

Anything that can take metal off, but be careful not to destroy the temper of the tip, or else you'll lose the extreme tip capabilities.

It's just and extremely small swedge.

M22 applied one on his MPLE.

Accidentally...shhhh...

Yeah, of course you can do it. I've never worked with a grinder before, but the hard part I imagine is getting both sides equals.

Here's one a lot of starters use. I haven't picked one up yet, but this summer after summer school, I'm going to clean my garage and make my own 3rd world grind shop.

You can get the sides equal by doing what many knife makers do: use a sharpie and mark where the grind ends.

What does penetrator tip is for?

I think there is no real difference during use between a normal tip and a penetrator one.

There is a small difference, I put one on my Spyderco Endura, and it worked niceley. I used a stone.

both side don't really have to be equal actually.
a stone will work just fine.
